Privacy

Privacy

Your privacy is critically important to me. I have a few fundamental principles:

  • I do not ask you for personal information unless I truly need it.
  • I do not share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law or protect my rights.
  • I do not store personal information on my servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of my services.

Below is my privacy policy which incorporates these goals: (Note, this privacy policy is based on the one generously provided by Automattic.com and is used here under the Creative Commons Sharealike license).

If you have questions about deleting or correcting your personal data please me.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

If you sign up to my mailing list, my email newsletter, become a member of Froststuff, or you contact me via email I will retain your email address and any further contact details contained there-in for purposes of contacting you back.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

For email addresses and other contact information you have exchanged with me, I will not share it with a third party without your explicit consent. Ever.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. This website is hosted at Ghost.org and it’s possible they uses cookie to help them to identify and track visitors, their usage of this website, and their website access preferences. Froststuff visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using this website. You can read the Ghost.org privacy policy here.

Ads

Froststuff does not show ads. Becoming a paid member helps maintain the blog without me using ads to cover costs. It is possible that ads may be displayed via embedded YouTube or other embedded third party content, but I will always seek to minimise this.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, I may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, and at my sole discretion. I encourage visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to this Privacy Policy.

Best wishes,

Tim Frost
